We stayed in the Loire region and tasted the best Anjou rose wines ever. Am a big fan of Anjou wines but i had the chance to discover or re discover the delights of muscadet and saumur wines, all that in a great french region, Loire Valley, the garden of France i recommend it to anyone! Regards

I enjoy discovering new grape varieties and new blends. We stayed in Carcassone for a week and I was stunned with the choice and diversity those producers have to offer. My favourite a red La liviniere which is a small appellation... I got some bottles back (ryanair which desserves the city) as my wife love it as well.

We went to the Rhone to visit friends and ended up hatching a plan to one day buy a property in the vineyards. We've been to wine regions in france before, Bordeaux and Loire, and really loved visiting the cellars and tasting the wines, but the Rhone was special - the countryside was just beautiful near Sablet and Seguret...and we also loved seeing the olive trees near the vines. we tasted some great wines, and discovered many that we have never seen in the UK: St. Maurice and Roaix we really liked - really spicy and fruity. And we were made to feel really welcome everywhere. Cant wait to go back

it was my first time in France. My husband quite like wines but we are not experts. Travelling the region gave us the opportunity to taste local wines that are usually really really expensive in the UK. Now i know what is a pinot noir ! Pinot noir and chardonnay were born in Burgundy.

Go and visit the Palais des papes in Avignon and have dinner in a peniche overlooking the Rhone Valley and the Pont d'Avignon with a fabulous Gigondas or Chateau-Neuf-du-Pape ! It's a lot less expensive down there !

I visited the Languedoc region last year and ended up in the nicest village ever, near Nimes. We met the local winemaker and enjoyed tasting courses and vineyard visits. It was great! I would particularly recommend the “Duché d’Uzes” (red) from Terres de Droude in Vézénobres and the paragliding at the Mont Bouquet.
